I wish I had read it before I stopped at San Pedro de Macoris. What a mistake and unpleasant experience. Please read my blog on "Warning: Do Not Go To San Pedro de Macoris" on my website: voyageoftraveler.com. I am now in Santo Domingo at the Marina Bartolome Colon, and enjoying it very much. What a contrast between the two stops. We intned to check out tomorrow and head W for Ile a Vache, Haiti (Port Morgan.) We may stop at Isla Beata to rest and swim.
